Japanese Sword Polishing Kit This kit includes the basics for a simple polish for your blade. It contains: 6 polishing stones (necessary for the groundwork polish) Laquered Hazuya, Jizuya, Migaki-bo, Tsunoko, Ibota, Yoshino-gami, Narume-dai, Kanahada Nugui, and three small stones for Omote-zuri. Hazuya
Thinned slices of Uchigumori used as a finisher for bringing out the hamon. 100 grams
Jizuya
Thin slices of Narutaki used to finish the blade bringing out the Jihada. 100grams
Lacquered Hazuya Hazuya lacquered to tanned Yoshino-gami (paper) which prevents the Hazuya from crumbling. 100 grams
Lacquered Jizuya Jizuya lacquered to tanned Yoshino-gami (paper) which prevents the Jizuya from crumbling. 100 grams
Shin-jizuya Arishiyama Artificial Jizuya which has been lacquered to tanned Yoshino-gami
to keep it from crumbling. 3 pieces. It is made very thin so you can almost use
it directly. Arashiyama is used in the same way as natural Jizuya. It works on
Ji very well, so you are able to clear Ji efficiently. That is why Arashiyama is
loved by many pokishers in Japan.
Yoshino-gami
Traditional paper for lacquering Hazuya and Jizuya. It
prevents Hazuya and Jizuya from crumbling during the polishing.
Tanned Yoshino-gami The same as the white Yoshino-gami except that it has been tanned with persimmon for added strength. 9 sheets per package.
