Ninja Climbing Gear
In the arts of Ninjutsu the Ninja often found it necessary to scale stone walls or climb trees in order to obtain his target. To facilitate these tasks he would employ certain climbing aids such as the Cat's claw and Foot Spikes in order to gain a grip on the surfaces he was required to scale. For the further reaches and where expediency rather than stealth was necessary a simple grappling hook was used.
Ninja Shuko (Climbing Claws) These were steel or iron bands that were tied over the hands and used as climbing aids. With the use of shuko a Ninja could scale a wall or climb a tree in a matter of seconds. In fact, many Samurai were reported as saying the Ninja could "climb like a bear." Sold as Pairs Only. These are made of heavy tempered and blackened steel with velcro cordura nylon strapping.
Ninja Ashiko (Climbing feet)

Ninja Kaginawa (Grappling Hook)
The kaginawa, or grappling hook, was a climbing device consisting of a pronged hook with 12 to 15 feet of rope attached. The kaginawa was used to scale walls or to swing across large gaps, however, it could also be used as a weapon. By holding the rope and swinging the hook over the head, the Ninja could strike his opponent with the sharp prongs of the hook or the rope could be used to entangle the enemy and enable the Ninja to strike with another weapon. This is a collapsible heavy tempered steel grappling hook with 33 inches of 250 pound test nylon cord.
