Wakizashi

The short sword, the Shoto or Sho of the Daisho warrior was carried with the long Dai katana by the more privileged of the Samurai.  This was also the longest of blades to be permitted in court.   Typically never longer than two shaku in length it was more of a defensive weapon but also regarded as an indoor weapon which was much more easily wielded in close quarters.  Often also carried in court along with a Tanto.  Each Citadel Wakizashi is a one-of-a-kind hand made custom. Each Wakizashi comes with a lifetime warranty on the blade so long as it is used properly. All Wakizashi are shipped with a silk dojo bag and zippered carrying case with outside pouch made of ballistic grade nylon. This also Chemical Fiber sageo of your choice from our offerings.
